CurlyCrownz was founded by Amylah Charles at the age of 16! As a young black woman, I saw the impact that media and hair care affected the Black community physically and mentally. The same products that were marketed as the golden ticket to acceptance were the same products that contributed to negative outcomes. I felt like I wasn't enough. That is why Curlycrownz encourages Black and Latinx men and women to embrace the diverse states of their crown.
